    odd headlight question

Car is a 04 330 with bi zenon adaptive headlights. My low beam and high beam use the projector lens on the outside. I just push the turn stalk forward. However if I pull back on the lever for a momentary high beam the inside reflector lights come on and the projector high beams don't.

    I don't understand this setup.

Thats your flash to pass light. The outside projector lights use a motorized shutter to change between low and high beams. This motor action isnt fast enough to flash the lights. It is also not noticable to other drivers in the daylight. Thats why the inner lights are used for flashing.

On the HID equipped cars, yes. On the Halogen equipped cars, they are used as both flash to pass and hi-beams.

Also if you have the daytime running lights coded, they will be getting about 10 v's

Seems someone has disabled the DRL's. You can re-enable them with PA Soft and other coding applications. I have PA Soft on a laptop if you care to drive into PDX.

I'd love to meet with you for that as well as seeing how PASoft works.
