1989 E32 750il part out

So I picked up a 750il for parts a few days ago. It has 132k on the clock and I believe it's a two owner car with the first owners being an older couple (first ~100k miles). It's been sitting for about two years after the SLS went bad. It started right up with some fresh and a changed battery and it idles really smooth and quiet. I'll be getting it road-ready soon so as to better judge some of the drivetrain parts.


At this point the differential and rear brakes are spoken for. Everything else is available. The interior is like a tan color and it's a bit of a mixed bag, some really nice interior parts and some not so great (front seats for instance). It appears to be maintained and I know the PO says he used a trusted local indie shop, same one my family usually uses. The exterior is a beige metallic (bronzitbeige-metallic) color and I'll be posting some better pics after I give it a wash.


The car appears to be stock except for the rear LED(?) taillights.

I have no trouble shipping parts wherever, but I'm not super familiar with shipping via commercial freight. Happy to learn though. This is being used to fund some other BMW projects including my two E34s.

Everyone wants those...right now I'm keeping the engine together as a functional unit. I've had some interest in the whole thing. I'll keep you in mind though if I part the engine. Need anything else?

They will not work on our cars.



Your DME's will only work on a 88-90 E32/750

Would be interested in the block for a longer term M70 hybrid conversion, but don’t need the electronics, so let me know if you ever decide to break it up a little more.

I have a request for a couple items. The first is the weather strip that is under the exterior chrome trim piece at the base of the driver's side window, number 7 below:

I was replacing the actual chrome piece with a new one and when I removed it I tore up that weather strip (which mounts the chrome trim to the steel edge of the door). So if the rubber/plastic is in good condition and you can remove it without damaging it that would be awesome!

The second would be the center console ashtray if it's in good condition (no broken plastic, working ashtray gear, ashtray insert stays in, etc.) I don't need the actual wood trim or the ashtray insert, just the main body. Number 1 below:

750's normally did not have the wood ashtray, only the 740's did i believe. A 90 750 just came into our pull a part, and it is just plastic. I have sold a number of 740 ones as a upgrade.

Yeah you're right. I totally forgot about that. The 750s had the same ashtray design that the e34 had.
