Exhaust downpipe removed car wont start

    Hi all,

Do you think a car will start if you exhaust downpipe has been removed?

I removed the downpipe and car cranks but won't start

I guess this might be due to back pressure or vacumme needed to pull exhaust fume out

This has worked on turbo engine before but the car i am trying on now is na

I think there might not be enough back pressure or vacuume so the exhaust stroke isn't working and car not starting
