Greetings!! I store my 1995 525i in the garage with a car cover. My question is, does it make a difference if the windows are closed or cracked open. My thinking is being closed might promote stale air and possible mold etc. Any thought are appreciated. George
Hi George - we would recommend keeping them closed as moisture is the biggest issue with mold. Just our 2 cents... Please let us know if you have any other questions.

If in a mostly dry garage, windows cracked, cover on, with an incandescent light bulb turn on in the interior. Before storing the car give it a good interior cleaning to help knock down anything funky that may be there currently. The light bulb is going to help keep the interior car temps in the right range to keep mold from starting, windows open will allow the moisture to escape the car. I also toss some chemical dehumidifiers (think damprid) in the car just as cheap insurance.
