I would like bet a 50c for a Ferrari win and $1.00 for Mercedes loss.

Mercs having trouble figuring out the setup... Slightly optimistic for Ferrari et al, but we have every reason to think that once they dial in the balance, the Mercs will be back on top.
Nice performance from Alonso. Signs of life at Honda or just more Alonso out-driving the engine?

Grosjean was really going for the top of the grid...no wait he just hit a loose drain grid.
Spooky to see such damage from something like that. A loose drain cover could be hit/flung into the air and hit the guy coming behind (who BTW in this case was Massa, we don't want a repeat head injury!).

BMWs are fun in the snow too...
Sounds like monaco with loose drain covers - quick get everyone halos
Well that quali session sucked.
Unfortunately it looks like Hammericanairlines has this season in the bag.

Happens in real life too:

I am so disappointed for Ferrari. Their pace all weekend was superb, and for Vettel to have such an issue, has to be tough for the whole team to swallow.
Mercs woes are starting to feel choreographed.

If kimi hadn't locked up on the last turn he would have had pole.
So, Ferrari's pace seems as good as the Mercs.
Gasly did well against Sainz.
But tomorrow should be good watching Seb carve through the field. Hulk I'm hoping can stay up there. Also - both McLarens beat both Williams. McLaren's chassis is almost as good as RBRs. This will make their switch to Renault advantageous. Could be nipping at the heels of RBR next year.
Anyway, 1st corner should be interesting. Hopefully Kimi gets a good start.
I wonder if Seb is going to start from pit lane so that they can work some setup changes on the car (overtaking takes precedence now - and maybe weather).
Congrats to Mad Max. Well deserved. The prancing donkey was the superior car today, sucks for laggard kimi, he should have won. The thug recovers but still contributes to some carnage.......after race is over. This thug is out of his mind.

No further action for the Stroll-Vettel incident.....
Maybe 5 place penalty if Ferrari have to swap gearboxes due to the shunt.
Ferrari keeps throwing away race wins like it's getting out of fashion... They would've been leading today (actually since the last race). Wonder how the long wheelbase Merc would handle the Esses of Suzuka?
Happy for Max---he drove a great race and it was really nice to see a clean pass on Hamazonprime, no DRS or anything.
Bottas really has to figure out what's going on. Someone else said it best: It makes you realize just how underrated Rosberg was as a driver.

Pretty good race. Respect for Bottas being a fair racer, he fought hard with Ricciardo but wasn't so stupid as to make desperate squeeze-out moves like Hamilton, Verstappen etc. usually tend to do. If you're faster then you'll keep the guy behind you fair and square, and if you're slower then no point in being an idiot...they'll get past or you deserve a penalty (or then we'll just have to make blocking others unfairly legal and then no-one will ever pass anyone).
Alonso is hilarious, one of the best radio transmissions ever (this is a poor recording but the best one I found on Youtube, the commentator is chuckling on top of the funniest part which is Alonso's chuckle): https://youtu.be/9kalWi2v9WA
And Alonso is 1000% right: what the hell is that idiot doing squeezing him off the track?! Magnussen keeps squeezing everyone off the track and then complains when he gets the favour returned!!

Really enjoyed the race all things considered.
Ferrari's luck is like Hulk's luck.
Congrats to Stoffel too.Great race from him. Gasly fought/defended hard but fair. Good news for us F1 fans having him on the grid.

SkySports is out for Vettel again. Remind me again why I read that rag?

Yeah, to me it's almost fascinating to see human beings standing there, knowingly talking absolute BS just because of some media company narrative they are told to act out to curry favour with their viewers.
Sky Sports guys are absolutely spineless. Just look at Herbert standing there, lying his ass off... Antony Davidson saying that they may have to ban passing on the in-lap, JHC!!
BMWs are fun in the snow too...
Their coverage is truly awful.
