There is a local dealer with a 2006 745i. I previously owned an e38 and loved it, and I also understand these cars are completely different. The vehicle in question is listed at $6000, or what I consider to be the very top of what its likely worth. I don't have many more details other than that. I'm going to go view the car in person up close, I've walked past it several times and it seems very clean on the outside.
I understand the issues plaguing the 2002 models, but I don't have a clear understanding of the issues one might face with a later model.
Do all the same problem areas from the 2002 model need to be looked into, or were there fixes or changes done by BMW to resolve some of the more common problems?
I am prepared for a healthy maintenance bill yearly, but then again, perhaps I should just wait for an F01 x-drive sport to come along.
If anyone has any tips, they would be welcome.
There's no such thing as a 2006 745i. If it's a 745, it will be 2002-2005. 750 will be from 2006 and up.

...and if it is a 745, do yourself a favor and find a 750 from a later year.
