Just doing some long overdue maintenance on my ZHP at 70K miles. I have some OEM Toyota ATF Type T-IV fluid (red) left over from another car. Can I use that for a power steering fluid change? Also, how important is it to change the reservoir as I understand it has a filter in it?
Also, I did the "ziptie fix" like 10 years ago on the drivers door regulator and it works fine, but the window goes up very slowly. Is that indicative of a need for a new motor?

Only fluid to be used in power steering system is Dexron VI or equivalent/compatible fluid, and yes if replacing all fluid you should replace the power steering reservoir as well (it does have filter in it) it’s only like $30 and you get a new filter for it so def worth it
I recommend Redline D4ATF. I’ve been using Redline products since the mid-1980s. The company’s stuff is the best.
