    E46 6 cylinder looms the same?

    Are all 6 cylinder e46 body looms the same? have a m52tub25 goin running it in a e36 and struggling to find a loom so was wondering would any body loom do?

    Nope, they are different thru the years.

    Just make sure you get the year right, as that would determine how to look in the wiring diagrams to be able to wire it into the E-36 body.

    Was there a problem with taking the harness with the motor? Most yards will pull the motor with the loom still attached, but you may have to ask for it extra.

    E36 shell but someone cut up body loom,e46 engine so getting a e46 body loom to convert be easier

    As mentioned they are different. But not by a TON but enough to make it not fun. I put a E46 M54 with an auto into an E46 that previously had a M52 Manual. Took a bit of wiring work. Repairing the harness you have would likely be easier.

    I can doubt any wiring harness (looms) stay long in time during a production run. I do know that when production run installs new info, it is recorded so anyone can receive that vital data...primarily usa dealership...

    only the very early E46 got the M52. It was updated to the M54 in 2001 which had a bunch of electronic changes. The m54 also got a further electronics update in most e46(besides the all wheel drive ones) in 2003 that changed it again.
