Exclamation gear shift hits console when going to R-1-3-5!

alright i have a 2001 325ci 3.0 swapped, my factory getrag 5 speed trans blew out almost all the gears, i bought another from a local parts yard out of the same year and all, everything bolted up as it should and appeared to fit correctly, BUT one all back together my shift is to forward in neutral and can not even get into my top gears because it hits the console, iv checked the shift linkage and its the same as my old one, where have i gone wrong? is there and adjustment somewhere?
i HAVE to get this going again ASAP its my daily driver

Undo the connection for your shifter, and turn it 180°. Reconnect it and you should be good

    Yes, please.
you have the option to try the brass looking rod with the clips on the left, or the right, and then the shift lever silver sticker forward, or silver sticker backwards. There are 4 fitment combos.
