Hi guys! Looking for a little help. I am working my way through a couple of SES error codes mostly relating to my O2 sensors needing replacing. One of the codes that is also reporting is P0113 Intake Air Temp Sensor1 Circuit High Input. When I went to replace the sensor I found that there is no sensor there or wiring to go to it. There is a plug in the sensor's location that mimics the sensor's general shape down to O ring, but there is no real body to it and no electrical connection point. Is this normal on some 3-Series? Mine is a 2004 325I sedan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think that sensor is located center top of the m54 intake manifold.
Correct....that is where the "plug" was. There is also no wiring that I can find that would connect to the sensor that I placed where the "plug" was. The "plug" has the same general shape as the sensor (orienting side guide and click connector) but it is a blank...there is no post extending below the O ring and there is no electrical connections on top. When I looked at it when it was in place I thought the sensor was missing. All that I could see was the click connector, so I released it and pulled it out and the "plug" came out. It is not a broken piece. It was manufactured that way. Just curious if anyone has experienced that before, and if not where did my wiring go??
IAT sensor is part of the MAF. Early cars had a separate sensor. If your MAF has 5 wires then it's in there.

Hi guys, I'm in the middle of swapping an 04 ZHP engine (ms45)/exhaust into my M52TUB25 (ms42) wagon. I also just ran into this scenario with my donor engine. I'm going to be running ms43 - I have help that probably knows the programming but a vote of confidence from this recent experiment may save me a trip to the junkyard to pull a harness tomorrow.
