    Vanos problem?

Hey guys, I have a 95 525 and occasionally when it's cold in first gear it will act like it cuts out or doesn't want to accelerate. Kinda like a hesitation when I press the gas. It won't do it in any other gear and won't do it when warm.

It otherwise runs great. Could this point to a possible vanos problem or would it be something else?

    Tia!

Simplest thing I would recommend is make sure you don't have any intake leaks. Check all your hoses. Replace manifold gaskets depending on mileage. Clean ICV valve. Cold start and idle issues aren't necessarily too common on single vanos engines. Changing the seals if they have not been done before can only help and not hurt.
