    Question window regulator clunk

driver side window makes a loud clunk, only when going up from the full recessed or down position. if the window is only half down or so, when I select to go up, close, it makes no noise. I have already replaced the pivot clips. I have read that there could be loose fasteners, but I cannot see or feel any. Upon further inspection of the regulator itself, the main shaft that the drive gear is on, moves, or shifts, at the very bottom of travel. Im not sure if this is designed to do that. looks like maybe a bushing is missing? Ther is no spare parts inside the dorr? when the regulator is removed from the vehicle and cycled, it appears to work correctly.

I don't know if I need a new regulator or a bushing is missing?

    thanks for any help

Check the mounting stud that the regulator mounts to...that is a known failure issue, and it isn't pretty when it goes!
