Any advice would be highly appreciated..so normally am good with cars so I tried to work on my bmw..1st bmw I ever work on..so I tried to replace the head gasket on my 2001 330ci and it all went good but when everything was put back together. I turned on the car and it started smoking somewhere on the bottom of the engine and I don't know if it's burning oil that fell (Quite a bit)..it still smokes after I drive it for awhile and sometimes goes thru the vent...any help would be grateful. Thanks
When you do a head gasket, there will always be bunches of oil, which will cause lots of smoke underhood for the first ten or fifteen minutes.
Um, when you did the head gasket, did you have the head machined flat? Did you use new head bolts? And were you able to achieve full correct torque on all the head bolts?
