Hello - is he able to repair it or are you able to help? That rust patch doesn't look too friendly and will likely require quite a bit of work. Parts are readily available and inexpensive (most) so that's a plus. I'm attaching a link to our site's DIY tech articles to help with repairs if you decide to invest.

Those rockers and floor pans are a bit rusty, if you can talk him down.... a lot more it could be a great project if you're handy! The rockers are easy to source replacements, the floor pans not as easy to source you either have to find a donor car or make custom pans.
