I am in the similar position and mine also turned black with fluid. 'Global Battery Solutions' can't help anymore. Does anyone have an extra mirror or know what replacement to get?

I just bought my 850 a couple of weeks ago and am starting to sort it out.

get a Homelink mirror from a newer car, You can get it at LKQ or Ecology for $20, Fleebay as will but much more, Much better mirror with extra features, Uses same mounting adapter.

I believe mines came from a E90 with alarm clone nose, It also has auto dim which i disconnected, Has hidden compass as well, I know that these model years work as well, 06 07 08 09 10 E36, E46 BMW M3 M5 and many other models with the the same attachment that fits your oem mirror mount, There are several on ebay, Half the price or less that many of us paid years ago, I can't for some reason find the older posts with all the write ups on installation but i do have wiring order and it's a easy upgrade. If you can't find the older posts, I will post the wiring order for you.
