    Doing some work

Doing some work on the car. Let me know if anybody has any questions on the work I'm doing.

    Currently

-Rethreaded sparkplug hole because it blew out from being lose and not tightened to spec.

-Made smoke test through paint can to locate all leaks.

-Replaced thermostat housing because of leak.

    -New belts

-Changed oil pan gasket (subframe lowered)

-Changed power steering high and low pressure lines, including new power steering reservoir.

-Changed inner and outer tie rods

    -Oil change

-Changed oil filter housing gasket because of leaks

    -Changed upper control arms/thrust arms

-Changed starter because selenoid wasn't working all the time.

    -Changed motor mounts

-CURRENTLY took out steering rack to replace all the seals because of leaks(will work on this over the weekend)

Just randomly got the itch to do some work on the car and bring it back up to par. Working on cars is a hobby so matters nothing to me how old the car is, the work is enjoyable and parts for these cars are not that crazy expensive.

I'd love to see some details of the paint can smoke rig, and how it turns out for you.

What did you use for smoke?

I tried it with a cigar and tire pump. Didn't smell too great.. or really work for me.

    To give a quick explanation.

One empty paint can, with a hole for air compressor attachment(you also need a valve here to control the airflow so you don't allow too much psi), and another hole on it to connect a hose the will go to the car.

Burn up some charcoal, hot hot hot. Drop them in the can, drop some baby oil in there and smoke will start. Close the lid, Start air flow not much pressure needed, connect the other hose to the car and wait 30 seconds

Steering rack has also been fully rebuilt. Everything back up to normal after alignment.
