Is there any advantage to purchasing new arp head hardware vs reusing a used set? I don't want to cut corners but I also don't want to throw away money for nothing.
I had one set of studs that I reused 4 times over several years. Motor was turbo. The studs were never a problem. You can measure for stretch if you yo be certain. I never measured and those studs were torqued to the original ARP spec with the two 90s that tested at about 120 lbs. ARP later changed to straight 85, and I think may now be 75.
What boost ya running? High boost is where this can become an issue. 20psi, is probably no problem. If you are up around 35+psi, then I would not test it. The good thing is that they don't fail catastrophically and will just blow the HG which you should be able to catch before it becomes an issue.
clean the used ones off really well and check for white wear marks on the threads and any necking down or other deformation. Undamaged used and properly relubricated studs will work the same as new ones.

thanks these were off a turbo motor running 18 psi
Ive reused my arp studs on 3 motors? No issue with gasket sealing yet, have thrown rods, melted pistons, fun stuff.
