Having problem with trans on my 2007 bmw 335xi

Placed 19 inch rims on my 335xi and less than 6 miles later the trans acted up...couldnt reverse. Dealer is telling me its because of the rims. It had 73k on it and I don't know whether it makes a huge difference due to the fact that its awd. Any ideas

What size are the tires? Same front and rear? Or larger in the rear. It will for sure have an affect on the transfer case. But I don't think it would cause you to lose reverse.

How is that possible did they actually say that! You either have broken wires in the shifter assy or there is something going on in side the the trans. And don't go there again. Plus if you had say a transfer case problem it would not effect reverse. What faults are they coming up with.
