Just purchased my first e60 this weekend. It is a 2004 530i sport that's been driven and loved for, as far as I can tell. On the odometer is 237k
A friend of mine has a 2008 528i so I've ridden and driven e60s prior but this will be my first time owning after owning a few e34s. I was looking specifically for a e39 or e60 and had found a 2000 540i with a ton of records and 180k miles but for $1700 more, wanted the v8 6spd but didn't wanna own it.
Mechanically everything sounds and operates great and it drives well. The interior seats and dash are in excellent shape, however the headliner could use some work, all power functions 100%!
It needs a valve cover gasket, tires, and possibly breaks at the moment. I haven't gotten a chance to really go under the car and inspect everything but it all feels good so I don't think it's going to need bushings anywhere soon.
Exterior is in excellent shape. The AC is new and ice cold, had a new transmission @ 140k miles, single family car(someone bought new and their son in law got it @ 210k miles).
I paid $3200, less would have been better and based off the cars options and prices of other e60s around that all have short term owners, I think the seller and I both made out well.
Congrats and good luck with it! I have heard that E60s will go 300,000 miles + if well taken care of, and it sounds like your has been.
