A prior owner put 19 inch M5 wheels on my 530i. I just replaced the tires, and a half mile down the road after getting the tires replaced, I got this message:
ABS Control System. Braking and dynamic response system malfunctioned. Drive moderately. Avoid hard braking.
This message resets itself, but comes back on each time I have travel about a half mile. I figured this was probably a wheel sensor and I took it to someone with a BMW code reader, and they said it appeared to be showing 4 bad wheel sensors. I doubt I had 4 wheel sensors suddenly go bad, so here is what else that was is different. When I had the tires replaced, I changed the rear tires from 275-30-19's to 275-40-19's. This is probably a silly question but is it possible that the increase in diameter is coming across as different rotation, and impacting the ABS sensors?

P.S.
A mechanic used his reader and determined that the rear tires are going 3 mph different than the front tires. The larger diameter tires in the rear must be causing the problem. What threw me off tract was that
I have had this same set up (275/40R19's) on the rear before and it didn't cause an issue. Maybe 3 mph is right on the the edge of what throws the error and slight differences in manufacturing can make the same size slightly different in size?

3 MPH isn't even close. There is an 8% difference in tire diameters going from 275/30 to 275/40's. If this is an x-drive you will ruin the transfer case.
