    Dash / center console set

I CANNOT do exchange on E31 sets. The original parts have a coating on them that doesnt work well with this surface process. sorry

This set comes with these pieces ONLY. NO ASH TRAY DOOR AVAILABLE

Also, If you notice this set has been customized with molded-in switch panels to create a "one-piece" look.

    Price is 340 shipped (USA)

    Emerald,
What are you using to make these if the panels have an incompatible coating? Are the new oem panels the bad ones or the originals?

The new OEM panels require less treating to out-gass the ABS before the coatings are added and work the best.
The old Original pieces have a textured coating that has to be removed and then it can be out-gassed. its just too much work to do the Original pieces when the newer versions work so well.

I was thinking about sending my original pieces to you for a piano black finish, I would have to buy all new pieces to send you instead?

Hi DriftGril, I noticed that on the newer pieces the center piece has an open back and the inside does not come with a felt piece. Most of the E31s that I have seen (with or without wood trim) come with the felt piece and the close end. I can't figure out why the newer piece is missing that, is this BMW simply trying to cut corners?

I always wonder how that open end would look like when installed. Do you have a pic of this in the car?

The phone delete insert has the lining but has not been available for years. The insert with the cutout (for the phone) does not have any lining.

    Hello Emerald,

I finally found your equivalent in France ...
I would be less original because I chose the carbon aspect but I do more parts.
I had a piece made just to see the appearance and in the end they will be matte varnish.

Does anyone know how to reinstall the spring loaded door that covers the ash tray in the center console? I have all the parts but no idea how to reinstall them. Its the door in the post from NICO057 above the second piece from the left in his first picture. Thanks
