Just curious if anyone knows of a spare terminal under the dash to tie in to the accessory bus wothout modifyig wiring. I'm toying with the idea of e46 sport power seats, and I'm thinking the existing tie in to the radio would be deeply insufficient. All the seats need is 12V supplied, but I was thinking wiring to accessory over the battery just to prevent potential drain when parked and off by seat malfunction

On my '83 there is an unused connector made with clearish plastic with 2 wires going to it by the intermittent wiper relay that has switched power and illumination wires. I think its for the gear shift setup on automatic cars.
Flawless. Yeah, mine should still have that too. Thanks! Now just to see if that circuit can take the load. Lots easier to find power versions of these seats than manual ones.

Small update, on the post-facelifts what Thecatmilton said is perfect. On pre-facelift cars, 9/79 and earlier, there is a tie in next to the air conditioning expansion valve to the left of the inside of the glove box. Purple and white wire.
Cheers!

Yep, and there's always the flashlight lines or the front fog light wiring, which is tied up in the headlight wiring. But it leads to the relay (or fuse, maybe)
But then I'd have to get rid of my tiny, grey, broken flashlight hahaha
