Gotta wonder about the odds on this: Within 24 hours, both the rear window defroster and hazard warning buttons went south on me (i.e. they're now stuck in the "on" position, prompting me to pull both fuses until I replace them). This probably a good 40 years since they were originally manufactured (remember, this car had been in storage with only 7,500 miles on it when I bought it four years ago, so I'm fairly confident both were on the car when it left the factory).
Yeah, I know it's probably just a weird coincidence, but figured some of you might find it amusing. Hope everyone's having a great day.
Just disassemble the switches and bend the little heads back. Then they will be good for a few more years. One thing I do is not let them pop out. I keep my finger on the button the whole time to prevent the popping action from stressing and bending the head.
I have replaced mine with new ones , did the same thing, went out separately.
