Oh ok so looks like I can use that than. Other than license plate mounts it appears to be the same.

Since it's the middle of winter in Canada with temperatures hovering around -15 degrees I am not working on the car in the garage. Still doing some other things at home. Decided to refinish the wheels. First step was getting rid of who knows how many years of caked on brake dust. I used some industrial strength oven cleaner and a small brush, cleaned them right up. Now I can sand them smooth and respray.

This is a great inspiration thread. My 318is is sitting under a couple feet of snow waiting for me to remediate all of the rust. Well done sir.
Time for an update. The weather co-operated today and I was able to get some more work done on the car.
First up and update on the wheels. This was the condition of both front wheels. They had heavy layer of caked on brake dust and road grime.
And here they are all cleaned up and repainted. Tires are trash so I didn't bother masking them off. I am still waiting for replacement center cap stickers since mine were completely worn out.
I also received a replacement rear body panel all the way from Germany so today was a good day to cut out the old and test fit the new.
Lastly I can't remember if I posted the floor patch after cleaning up the welds so here it is. Will need to be sprayed with some red to match the rest of the car but tuned out pretty decent.

Keep on posting...I'm also working on a 318is i.e. Track car!
Almost forgot about these pics. Started working on cab corners. They looked iffy and additional poking proved my suspicion. Rather than trying to Mickey Mouse my way around them I decided to cut them out and rebuild.
So off came the bumper and the fender.
And then I made a hole. It's been cold so I haven't done much more since.

Great job! - great skills!
Ive had great results with POR-15.
It will be a nice solid driver when you get completed.
Minor update to keep this thread going.
Patched up the corner. Still need to weld the jackstand plate on.

Good on you mate!
I haven't posted any updates lately but that's not to say work isn't being done to the car. Progress is being made, slowly but surely. Now that the weather has improved and it's Spring in Canada the pace should pick up.
Wheels and tires are done.
Rear panel is welded on and seam sealed.
Pass side corner is done.
And I started to reassemble rear suspension. I am still looking for a small case LSD unit so if anyone has a lead on one please let me know. I don't need the entire assembly, just the LSD itself. Rear suspension is getting installed so I can roll the car out of the garage and rotate it to face the other way so I can work on the driver side.

Hey guys, I am in the process of reassembling the rear suspension and have to run a couple of brake lines on the rear controls arms between inner and outer flex hoses. Would anyone have some pictures that shows the bends and all the plastic clips that hold parking brake cables and anything else in place?
