    code P0303 and P0335

Model 2000 E39 5281 5 speed. car was running ok after replacing heater inlet pipe; since hurricane IRMA the car has a misfire; I change the coil
after switching to a different position and symptom follow the coil that was switched. While test driving car lost power; not SEL, but while driving got code P0335 crankshaft sensor. Could there be an issue with ECM. Will replace cam sensor tomorrow and see if that solve the problem. (has anyone had this issue before).

May want to check the wells under each of the cabin filter housings. Sometimes debris gets in there and clogs up the drain holes at the bottom of the well. With H-Irma, you may have gotten a ton of water in there, which could wreak havoc with the ECU (passenger side). Disconnect the battery if you're going to start disconnecting any electrical stuff at the ECU, and let everything dry out before recon the battery.

Why would you replace the cam sensor if you got a crank sensor code?
