BMW 325xi - Rough acceleration / shifting

Hi there, I have a 2006 bmw 325xi, just recently i have noticed that when trying to accelerate from 2nd and on it stutters and trying to accelerate and has alot slower reaction to me hitting the pedal to the metal. I thought it was the spark plugs or ignition coils so i replaced all 6 of each and it hasnt gone away. i cleaned the Vanos Solenoids and STILL nothing. I am desperate and hate driving it knowing it might be damaging it even more. Ive read some Forums talking about Tranny issues? i honestly have no idea what to look at next though.. i sometimes hear a clicking noise when driving coming from the engine if i have my window unrolled. but it isnt always there..?

The first step in diagnosing a problem is to scan the engine computer (DME in BMWeze) for codes.
