The abs pump on my m3 is toast. It has the blue label with the part # including 2227. I have not been able to find a used replacement for that specific part. That said I've found plenty of the green labeled pumps (2228), a few yellow labels (#?) And silver labeled.
From what I've been told, the green label pumps include traction control and won't work, I don't know about the other part #s.
I've also been told that some other pumps will work, but the module would have to be reprogrammed. That's no big deal, but I don't know which other part numbers are compatible with the s50.
So, anyone know which abs pumps I can use in place of the blue labeled pump (2227) to replace my blown abs pump?
This is, of course, rather than buying new.
Thx
Go to www.realoem.com to get the correct part #. Enter the last 7 characters of the car's VIN. Hit enter and bookmark the page. Scroll down to brakes and find the part #.
Marco, are you saying realoem will tell me the other part numbers that are compatible with my car? If so, I've gone to the site and it only shows 34512227216 and 34512227215 as options for the car. Both of those use the blue "tag" I was referring to in my post, also both of which, I can't find. I was lead to believe other pumps would work, but haven't been able to find out which pumps.
No, I just want you to have the right part number. Call fcpeuro and talk with the company's experts to see what part #s will fit your car.
Why not call a couple of these places, and ask them to check the part number on the units they're offering.

For instance, here's a picture of one with a blue label, half way down the page:

EDIT: What are the last 3 digits of your unit's part number? If 115 , you can use only 115 or 116. If 116, you can use only 116, according to the information I can find.

I haven't called fcpeuro, thanks.
Mine ends in 955 as in 34512227 955
Well then that ABS pump in Daytona (third link) appears to be exactly what you need.
Go to car-part.com. Enter a 1994 BMW M3. (Yes, I know it doesn't exist in the USA) The site will give you a new screen. Choose non-interchange from similar models, and use 1994 AND 1995. Hit enter, and you will find the entry halfway down the next page. Call them
