    Difficulties coding MASK/CHAMP module

    Hi everyone,

I have a 2008 528i, build date 05/08. I'm have some weird issues coding the MASK module with NCS Expert. My set-up is working fine and I'm able to code other modules but I'm having trouble with just the MASK module. I think I actually have the CHAMP module, which may be the cause of the problems.

Basically, if I select MASK in NCS Expert I get an IFH-0009 error. If I edit the parameters and select A_E65MMC.IPO instead of A_E65MMI.IPO, I'm able to code the module for the most part. I can successfully code most of the values that I want, but the Weatherband value refuses to stick. If I set it to nicht_aktiv, it will automatically change back to aktiv after coding it. The other values that I try all work correctly, but Weatherband is the one I've found that just won't stay.

Here are some pictures of my module identification:

Here are the default parameters in NCS Expert when I choose the MASK module:

If I try to execute CODIERDATEN_LESEN, here's the error I get

If I change the CABD name to A_E65MMC.IPO and then read from the module, it reads correctly and change the parameters to CHAMPE70.C33, A_E65MMC.IPO, CHAMP.PRG.

Any ideas what's going on? I've tried with different versions of daten files, so I don't think that's the issue.

Another perhaps unrelated problem is that if I turn the car off while it's set to AUX, it will change to Weatherband when I restart it. If it's on CD or AM/FM it will stay there, but leaving it on AUX causes it to be on WB when I start it.

Did you manage to resolve this ?

I have almost identical problem, trying to program M-ASK in order to enable Dension 500SBT - but NCS Expert seems to be reading champe70.c33 module instead.

Some of the M-ASK module parameters are not available in champe70.c33.

Am at a bit of a loss as to what to do

I think this is related to the system files you are using not being new enough.

Has anyone already coped with CHAMP coding? Because I have the same problem, but the difference is that I added HiFi HarmanBeckers, but I can't encode it so that the SUB signal goes to the amplifier. I managed to partially code the equalizer, because it is already visible in the iDrive menu, but I can't change anything in it.
