After 5 years of reliable and fun driving, I decided it was time for a change. Replaced my E60 550i M-Sport with this F10 535xi in Space Grey / Veneto Beige.
This one features the M-Sport Package, Executive Package, Technology Package, Dynamic Handling Package and HUD.
Only had it a couple weeks but first impressions have been great. The E60 was starting to feel a bit dated so the cabin of the F10 is definitely a lot more pleasant place to be. While I certainly do miss the raw instant power of the V8, the improved fuel economy definitely doesn't hurt either.
Nice ride Karen! I have a 2013 535 as well (is yours a 2013? looks a lot like mine inside) I have put about 15k on it and really have enjoyed the ride and feel of the F10.
Love the colour. How do you find it coming from the E60? Big difference?
Thanks fellas! This is a 2011 and I got it with around 89,000km on it. It still had a year of the factory extended warranty on it.
In terms of differences from the E60 550i, I definitely miss the raw instant power of the V8 no question. The drive-by-wire steering is a lot softer and duller than that of the E60 which I miss as well. But the creature comforts and tech definitely makes up for it. Living in a winter climate like Edmonton the Dynamic Handling Package is super handy as there's a huge difference in the ride between Comfort and Sport+ going from the winter to summer months.
Really want to replace my E38 740iL with an F10 535i. Unfortunately the F10's are still fetching a fair bit of money here in Australia, especially for an LCI M-Sport one.
Yours is very nice, well done.
Freshly polished and waxed the car last weekend so thought I'd take some fresh photos of it.

Nice! Looks like I am getting into a near-identical car only 2015, Carbon Black, M-Sport, etc, late next week.
Nice choice! The Carbon Black is an amazing color. Once it's nice and polished, it looks amazing at night.
sweet, just picked up a 2015 535xd M Sport CPO. Coming from Audi and Volvo so the names of packages are part of my learning curve.
Great looking car. I just sold my 2008 550i with the sport auto, and got into a 2013 535i. I loved the e60 and it was actually very reliable for us. The F10 is much smoother with the 8 speed auto, but I see what everyone is saying about it being more "numb". Not as dull as the Lexus LS I was considering by any stretch, but not typical BMW. Looking forward to the F30 in a few years!
