    E46 - Intake Manifold swap from 325 to 328 ?

    Hello everyone !
I couldn't find nothink specific on forum about rly popular topic which is swapping intake manifold from E46 325 to E46 328. I've heard after swap + remap it makes arround 20HP gain.

    I've found there was 2x 2.5L engine models in E46 - M54B25 and M52TUB25. At this point I've got 2 questions:
    1) Intake manifold which makes a HP gain is a version from M54B25, right ?
    2) If I'm going to buy a 2.5 manifold is there anythink else I need to swap to my 328 ? Does anythink else fits plug&play ?

    My Best Regards !

A better intake manifold for actual gains on the 2.8 is from the M54B30. Skip the M54b25 manifold as it will not help you as much.

Are You sure ? I 've read alot about problems with configuration of 330i manifold with no results - it seems making completely no difference... I've read allso alot about swaping it from 2.5L with impressive gain of HP.

Indeed the 328 Power 04 was right. I was just REreading everythinkabout thoose throttles, manifolds and other stuff around it.

I got my all answears and topis is for CLOSE.

If some1 is still interesting about swapping M54B30 Manifold to M52TUB28 engine that's all i could learn:
    1) You need only 4 things: Manifold, DISA controller from M54B30, adapter for throttle, CAI.
    2) Changing injectors, etc is pointless. Stock 328 injectors are fair enought till 235~240 HP
    3) After swap everythink works perfect, without any errors, problems etc. Allmost everyone admit manifold makes much better sound and performance gets higher.
    4) If You realy want to swap manifold it would be realy good if you make a remap - it double HP gain.

I consider it absolutely necessary to remap (tune) the ecu after this manifold swap. I did it to my M52tub25 Z3, and learned how to tune it myself. Managed to regain most of the lost torque by proper DISA control and much intake camshaft VANOS experimentation.

Without tune, you're not taking advantage of the manifold properties at all. Especially since MS42 closes the DISA at 6000rpm.
