Question, why am I seeing alot of listings talking about 2007 750i Rare Sport. What makes it rare i see them everywhere.
In theory they would be fitted with some kind of options like sport seats , bumpers, steering wheel, suspension. I have never heard of one. But I you were going to buy I would run the vin number at the dealer to see the build sheet
i just bought one it is a the sport model. The steering wheel, it has the comfort package, the rear DVD entertainment system, sunshades, heated steering, basically everything except the night vision. I just wonder how many sport models are actually out there. Does not seem rare to me.
I'm sure the people putting 'Rare' in their advertisements are referring to production numbers. I saw a thread recently that had the production years broken out by body style. I don't remember the numbers exactly, but what I recall seeing for my year (I have a '06 with the Sport package) was just over 3K for the 'i' and over 10K for the 'Li'. While both body styles could be ordered with the Sport package, my experience tell me that most were not. (You can easily tell if the sport package is on the car by looking at the window trim. If it is what I think the called "Piano Black" trim as opposed to chrome, it has a Sport package. I think this has continued to carry over on other lines today, too.
If you want a "rare" 2007 750i, buy the ALPINA B7 version.
