And I don't know how expensive those coil drivers are like you linked, but if they are expensive you could probably make something like I did for about $70 or so:

I've got the lip complete gone, have you started cutting into the provision thats blocking part of bank 2 port?

What did you use to seal your chamber measuring plate to the surface of the head? I did some M60 and M62 chambers tonight, but I made a bit of a mess of it. I think I'll need to re-do them and try to do a better job of it this time.
Interestingly, if my measurements actually were accurate, I only found there to be about 2.3cc difference between the two heads.

Sta-lube engine assembly moly from the tube.
e39 540i 6speed Supercharged,
E36 v8 m62 with m60 headers, Turbp HX-40 0.6-0.5bar or 9psi, custom exhaust & Turbo manifold, injectors 440cc, ECU Invent EMS-2, Mishimoto Intercooler and oilcooler, etc…
Here's what $600 worth of new timing components looks like. After fighting the M62 crank gear to come off the crank, and then seeing the condition of the guides in the M60. I decided to order all new and not worry about old components.
The M62 Victor MLS 1.74mm head gaskets also arrived. Now that were getting past the holiday season and I've also had a few time consuming person things in my life remove themselves I'm hoping to make some big advancements in this project. But first I need to replace the clutch in my 540i/6 next weekend.
Are you sure this part in picture is fitting your plans or should it be
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=11_2254 or older ones
You're probably correct, this oil separator was listed by application using the older M60B40 by ECStuning, I picked this one because it was lesser expensive then the part number shown in RealOEM. It doesn't look like it'll fit behind the M60 timing guides, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Speeduino parts are coming in. I'm still awaiting the 40pin IDC connector header jumpers in order to wire all of the In's & out's to the Speeduino Board to the BMW harness connector.
The Bosch 4 channel ignition driver is probably unnecessary since it will be triggering an MSD DIS box, but probably wise in case I need to drive the waste spark coils directly. That coil driver will be mounted on the underside of the case and will use the aluminum case as it's heatsink.
Because the Speeduino is 4 channel ignition and injector outputs, the V8 will be paired up cylinders. 1 & 6, 2 & 8, 3 & 5, 4 & 7.
I'm working in steps on the conversion. First step was to convert to waste spark with 4 channel controlled ignition. By unplugging the cam sensor it puts the Bosch Motronic into Batch fire and Waste Spark.
I fished out the bank 1 ignition coil wires from the DME and fed them to an MSD DIS-4 ignition box controlling two waste spark MSD coils, then made a set of MSD ignition wires.
First fire up:

With the 4 channel ignition and waste spark ignition working I can now work on installing the Speeduino EFI that I've assembled into a DME harness for plug'n'play:
Once the engine is running, tuned and driving on the standalone with the current N/A engine I'll feel confident enough to use the system on the Supercharged 4.4L
The Supercharger intake adapters are on order, I still need to send out the cylinder heads for rebuild and I really should have the piston ring end gaps opened up a bit too.
In a few paychecks (and tax return) I should have enough to complete the project.

Making progress on the standalone. Decided to hardwire into vehicle wiring. Not running yet, timing is out. But I'm happy to say I'm getting all sensor feedback Still need to program temp sensor values and wideband o2 voltage. Then figure out whats up with the timing.
Crank signal:
Ran out of time this weekend, hopefully get some time to continue working on it next weekend.
Wouuuu, it awesome, keep it going. More updates please....

Hi, I'm currently building an m60b44 and after putting the timing chain back on, it seems incredibly tight with the tensioner installed. So much so it's somewhat difficult to install the upper valve cover but still possible. Did you run into this issue too? Thanks.
Sounds like your a lot further along in your build, I haven't come to this hurdle yet. But will pay close attention when the time comes. Sounds like a block deck and head mill would resolve this problem?

Did you use B40 heads?
Very excited, Jaguar Supercharger intake manifolds to BMW heads adapters & idler bracket kit arrived. The pivitol piece to the entire build.
The heads are out getting rebuilt and the timing covers cleaned up. While awaiting the return of the heads I've started, slowly, bolting other things back together.
Also pleased to report the Speeduino is working great and I'm confident enough to run the system on this engine. I've got a few bugs and growing pains to resolve, but nothing out of control and the vehicle drives great.

Nice progres. How tight are you planning to tighten head bolts ?
Ex:

E39 540/6
E38 740/6

And many automatic V8 E34, E38, E39.
Reason why i asked,55 nm is what they say and looks like i have same studs and got some HG leaking..
I got Athena hg, so maybe 55 nm is good for steel hg?

Looks like something out of mad max. Nice to see it progress well
