D/s window doesnt seal on closing door

Hey. I have a 318i e36.
had to r&r the door handle mech.
upon replacing found that the window doesnt seal when door is closed.
i have checked the mechanism /switch on the body... working fine.
Althoughi feel the wiring may have been confused as there are two identicle yellow male components and one female to match the door handle mech and the door latch mech...
little help?
