seat covers should be a last resort. just how bad is the leather... post pics? willing to bet its just the front drivers side, and the bolsters only. you can bring it back to life, as good as if not better than new by trying one of 2 methods. one is a dry method and involves sanding and filling the leather and the second is a wet method using paint thinner and a rattle can of matching paint. the dry method is the better solution but its alot more work and takes longer by literally sanding the cracks away. search youtube. in the end even if you dont like the final product trying it will cost almost nothing and very little time compared to taking the seats out and recovering them which you can always do after your attempted leather correction

Thanks 6speeder. Great suggestions and you nailed the issue. But the bigger issue is more preventative in nature--my wife's sunscreen absolutely ruins the leather so I've used a series of improvised sheets/towels etc. Really would love a cover to protect the leather and then be able to remove it and still enjoy the original...

if you restore the seat and then keep it clean and use a high quality leather protectant (meguiars ultimate, Lexol, Mothers) then her sunscreen wont be an issue. its only when leather is neglected it becomes DRY which will soak up liquids like her sunscreen, if you maintain it her sunscreen will wipe off and therfore wont need a seat cover. search furniture clinic restore products to correct.

Front and rear seat covers. If they are installed properly they should turn out great. Available in every color imaginable from GAHH.

    Heres another vendor.

I've read and heard good things about both companies.

Here's my thread with pics of the seat covers from GAHH that I just had installed. They make the car look and feel like a new car, and match the interior perfectly (I didn't replace the rear seat covers). https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...19-Showing-off I can send you more pictures if you like.
