Correct single din fascia for 2004 x3

Has anyone successfully changed out the business cd for a modern single din stereo with a fascia plate for an E83 .. x3 2004 ?
I have a Sony cdx GT710UV and I'm hoping it will connect up.
I'm good at car audio and already removed abd replaced the whole dash once to do the air con evaporator.
The stereo just slots into a cage.. just needs the loom connectivity to be correct and a new fascia.

Looking at pictures of 2004 X3 interiors, I've not seen any single din conversion kits for these cars. You could either fabricate one yourself or, leave the oem audio as is and upgrade the speakers for better sound quality. Another alternative is again to leave the oem audio as is, and send all the outputs from the oem amplifier to a signal processor and then onto your choice of quality amplifiers and then upgraded speakers for an increased level of sound quality and performance.
