Hi all,
I saw someone's YouTube video.
It detailed changing out stock front strut tower brace for the M3 version which leaves access to a 'but at the top of the strut tower.
He said this design was to provide access to this but so you could tighten the suspension when you went to the track.
Is this in fact true?
My suspension is pretty soft and so I was wondering if this would affect it.
My 2010 Sport wagon, 328xi was 10x tighter than this 08 n54.
Springs feel ok. Shocks are light. Would nd mind trying to stiffen. They are old and original, and feel more like a Cadillac.
I'm not planning to track, but wouldn't mind slightly less bounce for when your moving and the road has some yeehaws.
Thanks for any info on this 'nut'!
Bump*
Someone must have put a wrench on the 'nut' on top of the front strut of an E92, N54.
Thoughts as to whether this can adjust suspension stiffness?
Factory e92 suspension is not adjustable. The top center nut you are referring to is probably the bolt that attaches the shock to the strut mount.
I'm surprised that your suspension is soft, my e92 m-sport is pretty firm. My previous e90 with base suspension was pretty firm too.

Thanks Mr. Rocket.
It's possible my shocks are more gone than I think.
My colleague has the 4 door and it is much firmer.
It'd be too bad as I had a garage verify it before I bought it...
It's something to put on my long term list.
