Im getting a worsening front end "clunk" when I steer the car regardless how sharply or quick. Car presently is displaying "RED STEERING" alert on dash but was in shop over 2 months for many issues, and my usually very competent mechanic could not find problem. Noise seems to come mostly right side but my hearing impairment makes that a bit unreliable . Mechanic suggested might be just some wrong type fluid put in system by PO since I just bought in june. Noise is getting more frequent and loud as I have only been able to drive her about 100 miles thus far.
I would really love some inside experiences here before I bring it back and sign over another quart of blood. somewhere to start. Obviously in most rear drive cars, ball joint or some rubber suspension part would be likely culprits ----but we all know this is far from typical car
any suggestions appreciated
thanks guys
