Any issues replacing iDrive w/ a tablet? Including TCU, bluetooth, etc.
So not a huge fan of the iDrive. Feels clunky, outdated, and useless for the most part. I want it gone, but I do like the location of it, so I'd like to instead replace it with a Nexus 7.
My question is, does anyone know of any major issues that will spring up with me removing almost everything that iDrive is involved with and coding it as such? What about the TCU, bluetooth, etc?
Will it keep my E61 from running and working would be my main concern.
Edit: From learning about the fiber optic loop issues thanks to me removing the CD changer, is there a way to remove that loop entirely as opposed to buying multiple loop bypasses?
