Planning on refreshing the front suspension on the 733i, specifically the control arms, all 4- BMW OEM still available but pricy, don't want to use Meyle, any input on Moog or Dorman? Or what else is out there for us???
I think I bought Febi / Bilstein for mine when I did it a few years ago.
Guy on ebay has a deal on one side at least: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Febi-Bilstei...0AAOxyLN9SonWv
Personally, I have not heard anything bad about Meyle. Doesn't mean much, as I don't spend that much time on the interweb these days.
Have you heard something negative about Meyle?
Boy, that's a great price! I'll send him a message about the other side, re; Meyle, heard nothing but bad things about their quality nowadays.
I don't think he has any for the other side. I looked at his other auctions. At that price, I was considering buying a pair just to have in stock, even though the factory arms made it almost 300k before replacing. Also, I don't drive it more than 6k miles a year now if that.
I agree, best to have same brand side to side.
Does anyone know what brand BMW is using now? Anyone bought BMW control arms lately?
I've searched and searched for Lemfoerder control arms and come up with no supplier. If anyone knows of a supplier with them in stock, please post.
I've got Meyles sitting ready to go on my rebuild, guess I will have to try them. I've had decent luck with them in the past on my e28. I have no experience with any other brand. Would love to hear anyone else experience with other brands.
Seems Lemfoerder isn't available but pop up once in a while online- Have to be on it in searching- I went with Meyle after doing some research, it was moog I didn't want. Ordered a set of upper and lower and got lucky I guess, both arms made in Germany, see how it goes.
That's weird. Moog always worked well for me on domestic stuff, and had greaseable ball joints. They were the "problem solver" line not the rk ones

lol, just when I think I have it all figured out...
I'll have to see how it goes, heard good and bad on just about everything out there, except for OEM of course but didn't want to spend the huge coun on them- BMW wanted $150 for a steering arm, found an on on fleebay for $45... Gotta keep a close eye out, sometimes you get lucky.
