Apologies everyone! Been awhile since I've had time to post some updates, but I wanted to highlight how well our e36 twinscroll turbo kits are performing on the street and on the track with the new ts steedspeed manifold, and the kind of power they are making on stock ecu tunes.
Here is a video of the 9.6s pass from this past weekend. Special thanks to Jose Marcano for the footage!!! You can check out our full update in the Drag Racing Section Thread under "Current Bimmerforums.com member drag racing standings." by someguy2800

This run is on MS109 and 50/50 meth at 33 psi.
Also wanted to get some feedback from anyone else running them on their personal cars yet? Maybe we should start another Steedspeed manifold thread that highlights everyone's builds and feedback so far? We have been successful in using the Tial 44mm wastegates in lieu of the Turbosmart 45 hypergates, and have a couple more customer builds we will be posting about as well with some updated info about this for those of you that love your Tial's.
And lastly, we have the turbo motor mounts for the new steedspeed manifolds available... Finally! Yes yes, insert bashing here haha....
We will be posting them up on the website soon and also an update with info on the forums. In the meantime, you can give us a call to get one on order directly.... These will allow for up to 2.5" over the subframe piping, can clear a 4" intake pipe (if you remove ac) and will come with a smaller poly bushing and hardware to clear even larger frame turbos like the 9180 EFR. They come powder coated black, have our CES logo on them, and we are selling the mount and bushing kit for an intro price of $160.00 plus shipping. We have been testing this mount out on our shop car, and on a few customer builds with great success. Other than some slight pancaking of the bushing, it is holding strong with minimal vibration transfer. We may need to go to a stronger durometer poly, but we can cross that bridge if it becomes an issue.

wow! Congrats!
So honored to have a small part into this iconic build.

Impressive driving! And that is big power -- around 850 rwhp? And I heard a rumor this run was on Butters built axles and Butters built 2.93 210mm LSD. The 2.93 would let you hit that trap in 4th rather than shifting to 5th.
Was there a problem with the 45 hypergates?

Ran the Tial and Hypergate options on several different exhaust manifolds and different wastegate configurations. Hypergate exceeds the Tial in every aspect but mainly the Hypergate has perfect control with the wastegate directly mounted on the turbine housing. This has given me the best boost control. If you're having an issue with boost control on the steed I would recommend placing it on the turbine housing and revisiting your boost control tuning if there's still an issue.
From recent dyno with Hypergate 45 making 920rwhp this pull:

Well I physically bench tested the MVR vs the Hypergate. The Hypergate doesn't open up nearly up as much as the Tial. I ran a line from both Teed together and fed it shop air. The Tial clearly opens more #1. Also, with the steed if I was to nail it at say 4500 the Hypergate would shoot to 25# instantly on a 11# spring. Where the Tial will hold 13# for a little bit then creep to 25#. I did a bunch of testing and logging of both. I threw the Hypergate in the trash.
I really like Turbosmart products. But the Tial is superior. I agree with the port on the turbine housing, I used this method with the 666 manifold to control creep. Worked great. But I gained 1000rpm spool going to the steed twin scroll. I simply set the car up to run 25#. Also, making a port off the turbine housing on a twin scroll housing would be labor intensive.

Brad took physical measurements of the 2. So he would know the technical #'s but it confirmed my testing.

We are running the Turbosmart hypergate 45 with our shop car as well, but ours is installed on the manifold which may offer a different boost response. It does get the job done, but like Butters said.... I think what we have found is the way the Turbosmart gate responds, it opens more fully later in the rpm range peaking max boost levels later than from the outset, which the tial seems to be more capable of doing by having more travel with the piston. I guess this is both good and bad depending on the setup you are running, and the boost response or traction issues it could present if boost came on any harder with a more or less responsive WG. While I have yet to test the Tial on our shop car to compare the dyno and boost curves versus the Turbosmart with the 9180 turbo system, we have installed both the Tial and Turbosmart Wastegate's on a couple stg2 GT35R customer builds we are finishing up with, and have found the Tial to peak the boost better at earlier rpms versus the turbosmart which is beneficial for smaller turbo builds that peak their power earlier and then fall off up top.
WOW! That is motoring. Great job

i liked how the bmw stayed pretty much planted and the mustang looked like it was going to do a wheel stand, but still lost.
Jon treed the daylights out of him so it's hard to tell but I'll bet the mustang did out 60 foot him by about a tenth. The ces car trapped 20 mph faster though so it's kind of hard to compete with that.
Thanks Eric! Yes, that silver vette was moving man! Unbelievably fast for a stick shift car. I actually had made it to the final round. It was me, the silver vette and the blue camaro left. I opted out since there was no way I was going to have a chance against either of those two. And being at the event for almost 12 hours straight I was beat haha... Ended up being a fantastic final race between the two. Very pleased with the results of the E36 though. It was only my 3rd pass with the changes we made.
