There were two dead batteries in my 1994 850CI and I unwisely disassembled without taking pictures. Now I'm challenged to put it back together to install the two new batteries. Does anyone have pictures of an 850CI that I can reference? This is a project car.
What, exactly, did you "disassemble"?

I'd like to see pictures as well. I have never been able to fit the big red plastic piece on the positive post. Plus I put the battery in backwards.
which side did you take apart? Its fairly straight forward. the left side should only have one wire to each post. the right side has I think 3 small wires plus 1 big one to the positive post. The grounds are each 1 big brown wire.
A couple words of advice. Disconnect both negative cables first before even touching the positive cable with a wrench. Bad things can/will happen otherwise.

Does the red plastic cap fit over the positive post? I don't understand how the 3 red cables and the clamp are put together so that the cap fits. On my car they nest together and are fastened with a large bolt through the top. In addition a small black wire is fastened with a smaller bolt through the top of the clamp. Possibly it can be figured out by trial and error.
