Any feed back on repair cost solutions for 4E24 Electronic Pressure Control valve 5 error code
Order a set of valve body solenoids and the associated seals and gaskets from an online vendor. Drop the pan, remove the valve body, replace all the solenoids and seals. Reinstall and fill with fluid. Probably 7 or 800 in parts.

I appreciate your reply White94RX.
I have the same problem but in addition to that:
5015 Pressure regulator/solenoid valve, supply voltage.
4F85 Ratio monitoring, clutch E.
I have a BMW 530i 2005
What do you mean by Probably 7 or 800 in parts?
Also do I need computer programming?
Please help me with that because I'm really crying from this problem.
Thank You!
This is encouraging, as I just bought a 2006 750Li with 117k that is in trans failsafe mode, won't shift out of park, code was 4E21 EDS 2. Yesterday I dropped the pan & valvebody and found the bridge seal intact, date coded August 2011, and filter date coded Jan 2012 so its been serviced about 5 years ago. Fluid is dark but doesn't smell burned, magnets have what I would consider a normal amount of fines on them, no shavings.
So, I ordered (literally several hours ago) a complete solenoid kit, separator plate, and Sonnax zip kit. Already had a bridge seal, the four sealing sleeves, and pan gasket on order, still need to get the pan/filter and ATF. IMO with the valvebody out, might as well refresh the whole thing while its out, especially since $54 for the separator plate and $110 for the zip kit is minor.
OP it looks like there are several variations of this trans, so I tried to ensure the stuff I bought was correct for the trans I'm working on, the part number is on the driver side of the trans case, you would want to do the same. Previous owner said it drove fine until one day it wouldn't shift out of park, I'm hoping the bushings, frictions, and steels are still in good enough shape but we'll see what happens when I can get it back together.
my cost break down:
bridge seal: $15
Sealing sleeves $12 ea. X4
pan gasket $25
solenoid kit $330
zip kit $110
separator plate $54
Thats just under $600, will still need a pan/filter (~$120 IIRC), and I just realized I forgot to get the mechatronic sealing sleeve and ATF. So inadvertent confirmation of Whites $$$ estimate of $7-800.

Just to close the loop on this, in my case the above worked and was a fairly easy DIY. I'm probably the biggest pain in the butt was the Mecharonic sleeve because there's very little room for man hands in there.
The car is driving well, though I want to replace the CSB, flex disk, get the ABS module repaired, and check the front end joints before really starting to put miles on it. (Not to mention the valvestem seals, but thats a topic for a different thread).
Okay, but beware: At least the zip kit and the separator plate are specific to your transmission. I *think* the zip kit can be chosen based on the p/n of your trans shown on the external tag on the left side of the case, but to know which separator plate you need to actually drop the pan so you could read the number on the plate itself.

add to that like 9-10 qts shell 1375.4 ATF, and I'd recommend getting a pan/filyer as well--I skipped the filter because I figured if this was a success I'd just go back and do it later, and if I discovered I'd have to drop the trans and disassemble should it need more extensive repairs after trying this it could wait.
I also used Castrol Multi import transmax which used to show it was compatible but now does not these days (some of those threads are years old). Boards are full of stories of people who have successfully used this in 6HP's, I doubt the formula has changed, I think the big difference is the shell 1375.4 stuff is lower viscosity. Someone will come in and say friction modifiers also may be different but I would think that issue would present itself immediately (like the old days when folks would use type F in hydramatics for firmer shifts, and dexron would kill Ford autos because they'd slip badly). But this is an at your own risk thing.

Russ I have an 08 750Li about 100k mi, getting the transmission fault 4 E23 it won't go into drive. You have any suggestions?
To White94RX: I just did the vb seals on an 05 750i. When comparing the block seals the one that came out with the Mechtronics was 15mm tall and the one that came with the kit I ordered for this 6HP26 Eshift is only 14mm tall. I installed it anyway and after putting in about 3/4 of the fluid and getting in to cycle thru the gears the indicator on the dash and the transmission would do into gear at first but 3/4 way thru process the indicator started popping back into N from any gear I tried. Then it wouldn't show D or R at all then I heard dat-dat-dat-dat-dat inside the tranny pan underneath me as I'm sitting in driver seat wondering why indicator stopped working.. up till that point I could tell the trans was trying to go into gear because tires were flexing. It was as tho it was low on fluid tried to add more abd it would not take anymore than 4 3/4 qts.. soon as I heard that noise I shut it down and cleaned up for the day so I could think. Sought the advice of Peter Schmidt (w tranns shop owner) from Burlingame and his tech Dork said the Mechtronics is probly not sealing with the shorter block style seal. My question is where do I find the oversized block seal? It's 15mm instead of the stock 14.
