Hello, my e31 of 1991 ha e a problem:
LCD monitor of MID OBC, i think, it's damage becouse i can se something but is soft and clouded
the monitor is opaque and whit halo effect.
could ne the backlight broken? Or i have to change the string and lcd?
someone know if it can be repaired? Or if i can find a replacement oem product?

Hi Marcus and welcome! A photo of the symptoms / damage would be helpful so we can properly diagnose.
If it is the display going bad, missing characters, etc. then the display ribbon can be replaced. Some have done themselves, but I sent mine off to a shop to be rebuilt and they did a fantastic job.
Unfortunately, actual replacement MIDs are very expensive and not sure there are even new ones available. The rebuild service I found on eBay (US) was IIRC ~ $120.

You could send it out for repair at $150 ish or do what I did and buy a replacement ribon $20 ish and repair it yourself. This has already been addressed on this forum here:

Marcus, it looks like you've inadvertently loaded 12 copies of the same picture in post # 9 above.
If you click on "edit" for that post you may be able to remove the 11 unwanted images.
My advice also is to send in your MID for repair.
