Favorite track. Ferrari better be quicker than the Mercs.

    * Will make the table tonight.

Mercs have new engines and looked pretty damn fast in FP2. It's my favorite track too and I'm pumped for this race. Rain in the forecast just means more fun and a tighter race!

I was just at Spa a couple weeks ago and it was simply breathtaking. If photobucket didn't suck so much, I would upload my pics and videos.

Hamilton equaling Schumacher in pole positions now, feels weird to see his record about to be broken.

Whether you like him or not, Hamilton clearly showed that he is the best driver out there, followed closely by Vettel. He should have been dead meat to Vettel with ultra-softs.

Any clarification if Alonso retired without engine problems? Is hat radio transmission available?

    He was in clean air.
    He has a faster car.

That being said, I think they are as close to equals as we've seen in a championship fight in a long time.

Agree. Faster tires and he cant do anything. The stupid thug Vettel should've had him off Eau Rouge at the safety car restart, but he was too close to use the slipstream.

    Interesting race.

Bottas couldn't overtake Kimi, Kimi couldn't overtake Danny, Danny couldn't keep up with Seb, Seb couldn't overtake Lewis. Common denominator: it's impossible to get close enough during the race. After the start and restart it was but even though Seb got a run on Lewis the Merc's power unit kept him ahead - after the safety car restart.

Really sucks that they've gone back a step with regards to following someone when there's some mid or high speed corners. Most of the guys couldn't even get within DRS limits (1 second) of the car in front.

I didn't love the plenty they gave Kimi. What was everyone's thought on that?

I thought it was crap they added points to his license, but there was a yellow on the light board that he should have seen.

If it was a single waved yellow then maybe he could have gotten away with it. But it was double waved yellows: prepare to stop. the VLC was introduced because of people not adhering the rules (Jules RIP) so yeah, he should have least lifted a little. But he kept wide open throttle all the way through the sector. Every other driver lifted except Kimi - when at least they should have slowed down a lot more - as in prepare to stop - double yellows. So everyone barring Kimi got away with it.

Displeasing, but I don't think they could have *not* given him a penalty...

Betting that what we didn't hear was the radio traffic where the pit wall told him exactly where the disabled car was. Kimi probably went into the situation with as much knowledge as the television audience had; which was enough to get by, safely. Unfortunately: rules, or something.
