I have tried to find exactly what to do to re-program my key fob for my 2007 750Li after replacing the battery (have Comfort Access). The key will start the car, but the button functions - Unlock/Lock Doors, Trunk Raise and Panic/Illumination buttons will not work. I would prefer not having to pull the key from the fob to unlock and lock the doors every time.
TIA - MojoGD
You don't have to do anything. Take the cover off, replace the battery, reinstall the cover.

Did you buy a battery from the dealer or somewhere else? I have a non-comfort access FOB and need to break into it this weekend to replace battery. I don't know if one battery brand is better than another.
Did the key work before changing the battery
Hello, I recently bought a 2008 750i that has only the one key. the key fob starts the car, (indicates key recognized) but the buttons do not work. the previous owner said they used to work though the car sat in his garage for three years. i changed the battery but nothing i have tried has remedied the situation. was there any resolution to this problem?
i have always been able to reprogram the fobs on other cars so i hope there is a known fix for this one. thanks much!
I would start with a new key
