My friend has an E46 M3. His mirrors are damaged, and he bought a set of replica M3 powerfolding mirrors from eBay. The car has an 8 pin plug that goes into the module, and the replica mirrors have 2 plugs 6 pin and 2 pin plugs... Can anyone show me to a site that has the info needed to splice the wires to make this work? I've been searching and searching and most of the info on the internet seems to be for regular E46 models that don't have powerfolding to install the M3 replica mirrors, and that is not what I need obviously.
I recently pulled some M3/M5 mirrors from the 4 door e46 sedan at the junk yard and I have right one here that has 2 bundles, 6 + 4 wires that terminate with one black plug which in turn plugs into memory box (part # 61316916054). Blue and white wires in the bundle almost look like they have some sort of in line resistor. Here is the pinout at the black plug:
1. blue
2. white
3. red
4. gray
5. black
6. green
7. brown
8. empty
9. empty
10. tan
11. pink
12. orange
I hope this helps!

Actually, I need to know the actual function for each wire. Which is power for folding, which is ground, which is heating element power, etc. Does anyone have this information?
All I can offer you is that the oem m3 and m5 mirrors are different. The replica mirrors are also different and based on the m5 size.
Buy my native installed ISIS ISTA-D/ISTA-P bmw diagnostic laptop. More Info Here!
