Okay so I just bought a BMW 330ci E46 three days and today I woke up the car was making a strange noise. The noise usually only happens during idle when the car isn't moving or shifting into first. The noise gets really loud when you begin turning the steering wheel. Please help I'm trying to save myself some cash before I take it to someone to be looked at. Thank you!

Well the best way to find out is to pull off the belts, and start the car up. Only run the car when it's cold and do not run if for more than a minute.
If you don't hear the sound, then it is belt driven, so you will have to play with each one. If they feel loose, you have found the problem. Also check the P/S pump and alternator, for they too can cause odd noises.

Sounds like a P/S pump going bad.
What year is the car? I think in YM-00/01 there was something about the pump being bad, but just cannot remember off the top of my head.
Also is the fluid level in the P/S reservoir good?

That's what we do around here, is help each other as we are online.
Also I would still pull the belts of to ensure that is what's going on. You can still turn the wheel with the belts off and motor off to see if it is something in the rack.
