look into nord lock washers. mine are still screwed on tight with the washers.

Welp got to the shop this weekend, still no power, electrican is busy apperently. Checked out the rear end and all the bolts are tight. Im starting to think the rear tire was moving back and forth and causing the clunk.

One idea for the rearend was to use these locks. At this time i think the alignment shifted, tire is clunking. So ill get another alignment on it and see what occurs.

lmfao yes i agree the virtual dyno is bs still no real numbers from the dyno. Im using it as more of a comparison. Before i did up the boost to about 15psi and the values are similiar to those now just the fuel is finally inline. I dont think we did much timing adjustment. I meant to grab to the computer and snag a copy of the tune.
Im thinking of running one of these, or building a 1/4" restrictor plate for the turbo T4 flange to increase velocity, and decrease top end flow and tame the creep.

btw the MS autotune works fantastic
just smooth out the surrounding cells and you can get a perfect ve map.
highly recommend you just pay the 100 bux or whatever it is for TS.

Running BPR8ES plugs now.
No real difference, still get a miss fire. Backed the boost down some until the plugs and wires come in. Does feel like its knocking at light loads high rpms.
It appears mega squirt has given up on outputting tach signal. Connected to the coil and it works again. I chased the wire all the way to the board and it seems ok.
Wanted to compare the two widebands however didnt have wires soldered to the DB37 connector. With out power at the shop its a little tough to do right now.
It appears the innovative was 1 point leaner then the AEM so far.

Month later but finally made it to the shop again, new 200 amp panel is installed and approved by the county. now we can run the compressor,welder,heater,blast cabinet all at once

Everything looks like it will fit, prior to buttoning up the oem lifter pump and putting everything back i decided to see if the 450 will fit in the tank.

As you can see it is very very tight, i hope i can get it to fit in the tank with some slight modifications
Started inspect the output fuel line size. I think ill weld a -8 fitting to this and run new lines.

3/8" ID is pretty big from my understanding. Should be able to push a large amount of fuel through it. Ill have to investigate some more.
Now i currently have the oem lift pump going to a walboro 255 and a stock fuel filter, running all stock fuel lines and filter and pressure regulator to 600cc injectors.
I plan on replacing the oem lift pump with the 450, but do i leave the 255 inline as well?
Lastly i was able to set up the knock sense input.

I learned after purchasing the controller that knock on the m20 occurs 3-4° after BMEP so unfortunately it will be more of a fail safe setup then anything.

I also want to fix the Valve cover clearance issue but not sure how to handle that. really dont want to pull the head.

No offense, but your street tuning AFR's and boost control plots look horrible!
You really need to improve the wastegate so that it limits boost! Are you sure everything hooked up and sealing well?
The improved timing and fuel maps look better but it all depends on IAT's, your timing values and your octane!
I have had good repeatable results with VirtualDyno as have many others. Be sure to enter gear rations, weight, cD, and ambient temp/pressure!
Data-logging and reviewing the information in the plots is useful (but you have to be detailed enough to spend some time thinking about what data to look at and what it is telling you...

you are very true on the air fuels. The innovative i had never seemed to work well ever. I recently have replaced it with an aem and i am gettting so much more stable AFR's. Ill have to show a log again.
So flex fuel sensor came in snagged a great deal on amazon.

So i noticed a few things and ill have to get a more detailed photos.
On the clutch, on the ceramic side it appears its only grab on the middle third of the clutch. Kinda strange, calling around today to see if i can get all three parts surfaced.
Block didnt like the chevy orange
and i now have a pretty good understanding on why this turd boost creeps. Its gonna get hacked up and fixed while the block is out.
Took a time lapse of the process, hope to get the videos edited by the end of the week.

After thinking about it for a day i realized it wasnt that big of a deal. all the ring gaps were excessive, and the engine just seemed well worn out. Ill take the block to the machine shop and get things going this week. I am going to request to be present during the process as i do enjoy it.
I got the Tiny board to communicate with Megasquirt. Pretty easy once i took a few baby steps.

All back together, took it for a test drive yesterday and no weird noises. oil pressure seems better. Did not hit boost. I did take it up to 4,000 rpms at 100kpa.
Moving this week so this is one item off the list. So far see 2-3 oil leaks still, 1 loud rocker, and a power steering leak. o and the shifter is backwards smh.

Bring back so many memories....should have taken a wire wheel to that block to remove all the crumbling red paint! Where do you think the engine leaks are coming from? Seems like the M20 just finds a way to leak.

Well i drove it for about 100 miles yesterday and beat on it sorta good. up to 8psi-10psi range but tried to stay around 5psi.
I noticed some oil leaks in the driveway after about 50 miles. When i came back and parked it, i noticed it was leaking from the trans. Everything else on the engine is BONE DRY which is good. I just didnt do the rear main seal and i think thats the cause.
given that i fixed about 8 different oil leaks and they didnt show back id say im doing well
