    Powder coating Zionsville Fan Shroud

Since all the parts in the engine bay are black, and the Zionsville fan shroud is silver, I am looking to powder coat the fan shroud black. I want to keep the engine bay looking as OEM as possible. Would powder coating be the best option (under the intense heat in the engine bay) for the fan shroud? Any thoughts?

I would think Hi temp paint would be just as good. Just look at the temperature rating. It should be rated for 300+ degrees.

I was going to do this with mine just haven't got around to it yet, no paint or powder coating required to keep the OEM look.

I powdercoated my Zionsville coolant bottle and painted the shroud and the side tanks of the radiator with wrinkle black. It's been over 3 years and all is fine.

Any engine paint can handle the heat but will not stick to the shroud for crap unless you media blast it first. Sending it to be powder coated is def. the toughest finish.

Yeah I am researching different powder coating companies in the Portland area to do the job. I would rather spend the extra money and do it right the first time, without having to worry about it later on.
