The victim is this '86 735i I just picked up. I'm holding onto the powertrain (engine, transmission, diff) but the rest is up for grabs. It was originally Polaris over pacific leather. Now it's primer black over a torn-up interior. It's mostly complete, with a lot of salvageable stuff left. I'll take pics & test stuff as requested. Some bits are frankly horrifying, please don't expect to much.
I'm just getting started on parting this thing out, testing stuff as I go. In order to avoid annoying my neighbors too much, I can't have a rotting frame on blocks in the driveway. Having said that, I can send out little stuff like trim, buttons, etc. immediately. If you don't mind waiting a month of two for pulling big parts, I'll hold onto anything for a reasonable offer. I don't have a massive amount of space here but I'll try to accommodate all requests. Please PM me questions or offers and I'll keep a list updated in this thread.
I'm pretty flexible with arrangements: local pickup is fine, I can ship smaller stuff USPS or UPS, I'll list on eBay or Panjo if you'd prefer, I'll meet anyone within an hour or two of Pittsburgh, deliver to local friends or family, etc.. I accept PayPal, checks, cash. Heck, I'll even consider crypto.

Parts that are definitely bad include the driver-side doors & front quarter, hood has rust creeping in too. I wouldn't trust any suspension parts, steering is sloppy loose, seat squabs are all torn. Dash is cracked and many interior panels are sun-crazed or cracked. Ash tray had gauges mounted, although the center console otherwise looks OK.
Shocks are aftermarket KYB on stock springs, they look pretty old. The rotors are pretty decent, relatively new cross-drilled & slotted. Brakes actually seem OK except for the leaking booster. I'll also be pulling the complete manual conversion. I'd prefer to sell that as a complete kit. I was planning on keeping the G265, but I'll substitute a later 260/6 and dual-mass flywheel from a '91 535i if anyone is interested.
Aftermarket stuff includes two Spal fans, 4x Drag wheels DR31? 17" black with a polished lip. They're pretty scuffed-up. I'll get measurements off the front spacers if anyone is looking for a pair.

Dave, I'd be interested in that wood trim (shifter) surround, let me know if you'd part with that, also coolant expansion tank, and both front strut mounts, don't care
condition of strut mounts, need them for measurements.

The shifter surround is pretty bad; I'll get some better pics for you. I'll send the entire console too, if nobody wants the 5-speed shift kit.
If you can have it pressure tested before sending it my way, that would be great. I will pay the shop cost, usually $10-20 tops.
Hell, before that. Just shoot me a pic via text of the tube sizes on the condenser itself. If it is the large tube variety, I am not interested.

Looking for a driver's side lock with key. Back of the lock must have the slot in it that the "L" shaped tab goes through (see image of cylinder in top left corner). Thanks in advance!

I'd think so too. Looks original to the car. Just looked up the build date...12/84.
Is the driveshaft available, or you keeping it with the rest of the drive train?
